THE PILLOWWRAP™

Not a pillowcase. Not a travel pillow. Something that didn't exist until now.

Every travel pillow on the market solves the wrong problem. They focus on comfort - foam, inflatables, neck rolls. They ignore the one thing that actually affects your skin, your sleep quality, and your hygiene every single night: the surface your face is pressed against for eight hours.

WHY WE BUILT IT

The wrong answers were everywhere.

Travel Pillows

Travel pillows solve positional comfort on a flight. Not one addresses the surface your skin contacts. You are still pressing your face against an airline headrest cover, a borrowed pillowcase, or a synthetic shell that has never been washed. Comfort without hygiene is half the answer.

Regular Silk Pillowcases

Standard silk pillowcases are designed for home use — envelope or zip closures built for one standard pillow size. They don't fit oversized Asian hotel bolsters, square European pillows, or king formats. They carry no antimicrobial technology. They were never designed for a surface you don't control.

Bamboo, Satin and Cotton Travel Cases

Cotton travel cases create friction and absorb moisture. Bamboo loses its natural antibacterial properties in chemical processing. Satin is polyester — a petroleum-derived synthetic with no temperature regulation, no moisture wicking, and no antimicrobial compatibility.

None of them were built for the actual brief.

THE SILK

22-Momme. Grade 6A. The specification most silk brands don't publish.

Most silk pillowcases on the market don't disclose their momme weight or silk grade. That is because most sit between 16 and 19 momme at Grade A or 3A — marketable as silk, but not engineered for durability or long-term performance. Momme weight measures silk density per square metre. At 22-momme the PillowWrap™ is dense enough to hold its structure through 50-plus washes, light enough to remain breathable through a full night of sleep. Grade 6A is the highest silk classification in the industry — longer unbroken filaments, minimum irregularities, measurably less friction against skin and hair cuticle than any lower grade.

THE TECHNOLOGY

Not a coating. Not a claim. A mechanism.

SILVADUR® is a polymer-silver technology developed for healthcare and clinical textile applications. It does not sit on the surface of the silk. It bonds through the sericin protein naturally present in mulberry silk — making the antimicrobial function intrinsic to the fibre itself. Not spray-applied. Not a finish that washes out. Built in.

01

Bacteria contact the surface

During sleep your pillowcase is in contact with skin and hair for 7-plus hours. In a hotel, on a plane, or shared accommodation that surface has a contamination history you don't control.

02

Bacterial presence activates silver-ion release

The SILVADUR® polymer matrix is bacteria-activated. It releases silver ions precisely where and when they are needed rather than continuously depleting.

03

The surface resists bacterial build-up

Silver ions disrupt bacterial cell membranes on contact with the fabric surface. The result is a surface that actively resists the accumulation of odour-causing bacteria — wash after wash, trip after trip.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — every component of the finished textile including the SILVADUR® treatment independently tested and certified safe for prolonged skin contact.

THE CONSTRUCTION

Fits every pillow. In every hotel. In every country.

Hotel pillows across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas don't follow a standard. Oversized bolsters in Southeast Asia. Square European pillows. King formats across the US and Gulf states. Compact twin configurations in Japanese business hotels. A standard envelope-closure pillowcase fits one of those. The PillowWrap™ fits all of them. The concealed elastic wrap construction is built into the interior seam — invisible in use, engineered for tension. It conforms to the specific dimensions of whatever pillow it is placed on.

  • Elastic concealed inside the seam — no visible hardware
  • One movement to secure — no clips, no ties, no fumbling at midnight
  • Stays flush through the night — no slipping, no bunching
  • Tested across 40-plus countries and pillow configurations before the specification was finalised

Compresses to smaller than a folded t-shirt.

06 — The Travel Pouch

We considered every detail -- including the pouch.

The PillowWrap™ travels inside its own certified organic cotton travel pouch — included with every order. Organic cotton is the right choice for a pouch: breathable enough to allow the silk to air between uses, structured enough to protect the fabric during transit, and free from the synthetic fibres and chemical finishes that make nylon and polyester unsuitable for contact with a premium silk surface.

Breathable organic cotton

The silk can air between uses inside the pouch

Structured protection

Keeps the PillowWrap™ compressed and clean in transit

OEKO-TEX® certified

No harmful substances, same standard as the pillowcase

Included with every order

No extra purchase, no separate packaging to lose

WHAT EXPERTS SAY

The science, in their words.

Placing the face on a pillow causes repeated trauma to the skin. Over time, this damage, aggravated by the friction of a cotton pillowcase, can create permanent wrinkles linked to a decline in skin collagen.

Dr. Dennis Gross, Dermatologist

Antimicrobials have also been found in silk textiles, making a case that people with acne and atopic dermatitis would benefit from a silk pillowcase.

Dr. Orit Markowitz, SUNY Downstate University

Most people don't realise how much oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells can accumulate on your pillowcase — all of which can contribute to acne breakouts and skin irritation.

Dr. Sandra Lee, Founder SLMD Skincare

Silver has broad-spectrum antibacterial properties against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is the most commonly used antimicrobial agent for textile application.

American Society for Microbiology

Bedspreads and pillowcases may become invisible reservoirs for pathogens. In some cases sheets are not always changed between guests. It may be better to just bring your own.
