The Science
Engineered for the pillow you don't control.
You wouldn't drink from a stranger's glass. The PillowWrap™ brings your own surface — and your own standard of hygiene — to every pillow you land on.
The weave: 22-momme, Grade 6A silk
Momme measures the density of a silk weave — the higher the number, the more thread woven into every square. At 22-momme, the PillowWrap™ sits at the upper end of the range used in premium silk bedding: dense enough to hold its structure through repeated packing and washing, smooth enough to present almost no drag against skin and hair overnight.
Grade 6A refers to the silk fibre itself — the longest, most uniform, lowest-defect filaments mulberry silk produces. Longer fibres mean fewer joins and a more consistent strand, for a surface with less friction than cotton. Silk also absorbs far less moisture than cotton, so it draws less hydration and fewer of your skincare products from your skin while you sleep.
SILVADUR™ silver-ion technology
Silver has been recognised in materials science for generations as one of the most established antimicrobial agents. SILVADUR™ is an advanced finish woven into the fabric that works through the controlled release of silver ions (Ag⁺), interfering with the cellular processes bacteria rely on to grow and reproduce on the textile.
What sets it apart is intelligent, moisture-responsive release: rather than depleting all at once, the technology releases ions as conditions call for them. The result is a fabric surface that resists the buildup of odour-causing bacteria — and holds that performance through wash after wash.
Why it matters in transit
A traveller rarely chooses the pillow they sleep on. Hotels, cabins, short-term rentals — every one is a surface your face rests against for hours, with a laundering history you can't see.
The PillowWrap™ answers the two things that surface gets wrong. The silk governs quality and moisture — gentle on skin, never stripping it. The SILVADUR™ finish governs hygiene — resisting microbial buildup where your skin makes contact. Pack your own, and both stay constant, wherever you land.
Your skin. Your ritual. Your protection. Wherever you land.
Engineered for the pillow you don't control.
You wouldn't drink from a strangers class. The PillowWrap brings your own surface - and your own standard of hygiene - to every pillow you land on.
How it works
How SILVADUR™ works on silk
An antimicrobial textile finish whose active agent is silver in ionic form (Ag⁺). During manufacturing it's bonded into the silk so it becomes part of the fabric, rather than a coating that sits on the surface.
The fabric releases tiny amounts of silver ions. Those ions interfere with the cellular machinery bacteria rely on to function and reproduce, which stops them growing and multiplying on the fabric surface.
Rather than releasing all its silver at once, SILVADUR™ is engineered to release ions gradually and in response to moisture. That's what lets the antimicrobial performance survive repeated washing, instead of rinsing away after a few cycles.
No. It's designed to be compatible with the fibre, so it doesn't compromise the silk's hand-feel, smoothness, breathability, or appearance. You keep the silk's natural low friction and low moisture absorption, plus the bacterial-resistance layer.
The benefit is about the fabric: it resists bacterial buildup and odour on the textile surface. It keeps your pillowcase fresher between washes — it isn't a claim about protecting your skin or health.
